Trading Interface Guide
a quick introduction to the Index Coop Trade Interface
Our leverage tokens help you trade crypto safer and cheaper by automating real DeFi leverage behind the scenes.
The Trading Interface allows you to pick a market, set your leverage, and track positions in just a few clicks. Below, you’ll find a quick guide to making a trade, plus an overview of each key section in the interface.
Interface Reference

1: Connect Wallet and Pick a Network
You’ll need to be on the chain where your funds are located (e.g., Arbitrum or Base). Head to the Network & Wallet Section (1) to confirm or switch.
Network Selector: Shows which blockchain you’re currently connected to (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, etc.).
Wallet Address: Displays the address you have connected to the interface. If you want to connect a different wallet, you can do so here.
2. Choose Your Market
In the Market & Quick Stats Section (2), you can select the token you want to trade and get a sense of current market conditions.
Current market: This is where you can choose what asset you want to trade. Click the dropdown to see all available markets broken down by chain.
Underlying Protocol: Each leverage token represents a fully collateralized lending position and is built using DeFi. The 'Powered by' field indicates which DeFi lending market the selected product is built on.
Quick Stats: These shows current price, 24h change, and other quick references.
3. Review Leverage Ratio and Costs
Under Current Leverage Ratio & Cost of Carry (3), you can view the selected product's current leverage, plus the daily costs to hold a position.
Leverage Ratio: Each leverage product targets a specific maximum–minimum range and only rebalances if the ratio drifts beyond that band, so the exact leverage can fluctuate in response to market movements.
Net Rate: This is a dynamic cost incurred from borrowing on a lending market, which can be positive or negative. The Net Rate displayed on the interface breaks down the total net cost of holding an open position in the chosen market.
4. Open or Close a Position
The Trade Widget (4) is where you actually make your move. Pick "open" to start a position "close" to exit. Choose your leverage amount and input how much you'd like to trade.
Open / Close Selector: Determines the action, whether you are opening a new position or closing a current one.
Leverage Selector: Determines the amount of leverage. The options shown correspond with the available amounts of leverage for each market, and can vary from product to product.
Pay / Receive: These indicate which assets you are trading and are where you can input the size of your trade.
Submit Button: This is how you proceed with your trade once you've input the other details.
5. Monitor Open Positions and History
After opening a trade, you’ll see it under Open Positions (5) with key stats like unrealized pnl (profit/loss). if you close or adjust, it’ll show up in your history for recordkeeping.
Open Positions: Lists all of your active trades, showing the market, leverage, and key stats like unrealized pnl and current price.
History: Provides a chronological log of your positions and key actions (like opens, closes, or partial closes). this is helpful for reviewing past trades and tracking overall performance over time.
