Why an owl? 🦉

Owls are wise and those who hold indices are wise. Owls are very far-sighted meaning they can't focus on near objects. They only have long term vision. The Index Coop strives to embody this long-term perspective.

What's the opportunity you are pursuing?

The index/ETF market is huge. Within 27 years, the ETF industry has grown to $4 trillion in asset value as of 2019 in the US alone, and $6 trillion worldwide. If we overlay the opportunity in the crypto world, crypto ETFs have the potential to make up a significant portion of the crypto market.
‌The ETF market is a winner takes most market, where we have the opportunity to become the early significant mover. In the traditional finance world, most people only know about Blackrock, Vanguard, and the S&P500/DJIA, which all enjoy the benefits of higher visibility, higher profits, and publicity from their early market dominance. With Index Coop, we see the opportunity to have the same impact in the crypto world where we can offer high quality index products and gain an early advantage as market leaders in the space.
